Erik is made to lie on the bed and have his feet tied in place. He is first punished with the cane on the soles of his bare feet (bastinado), and then also his bare ass, quite painful as you can see from how he withers about in pain. He is again stricken on his already sore ass with the cane as he withers around in agony. Then the Master who is still not satisfied decides a new session of punishment is in order for Erik, and so he is again asked to lie down on the bed with his feet tied and then severely punished with the riding crop first, and then with a whip on the soles of his feet. He is then spanked on his bare ass by hand.
