Rick is going through a hard and painful session of bastinado on the soles of his bare feet delivered with a cane while he has to remain in an extremely uncomfortable and vulnerable position. His ordeal continues with that same cane now being enthusiastically used on his already sore ass and other sensitive nether regions. The Master decides to give himself a break but leaves Rick kneeling down holding up two heavy books, one in each hand with the cane just used resting on one of the books and a riding crop to be used later on the other. This gives Rick time to think and visualize what he has coming his way next.
